Fire common sense:  eight dos and don'ts during the rescue

4. The rescue firemen should dress in fire-fighting equipment, wear air(oxygen) breathing apparatus and Emergency aid, and should be with a wet towel tied around the neck against disaster, carrying the explosion - proof light, lifeline against waist, 2 or more firemen to be one team. Rescue personnels should wear the necessary PPE( respirators, coveralls, hats, gloves, footwear, safety lifeline etc.), fasten the lifeline to prevent them hurt.

 

5. You should use the 12V safety light or below 12V in the limited room, the wire if safety light should be the soft wire with good insulation. The fire commander has to set up a security checkpoint, designate one person to register everyone who go to the scene of the accident, and check their protective equipment according to the procedures, and determine the time of the attack., better no more then 30mins. The storage and pharmacy of air (oxygen) air-breathing apparatus must be available continuously using for 30 minutes or more.

 

6. If  the injured have been found in the limited room, fasten his legs and body with the safe belts, then lift them out from dangerous areas, don’t affecting their breathing or touching their injure area.

 

7. During the rescue, rescue personnel inside should be in contact with the supervisory personnel who is outside, and decide the signals.The supervisory personnel can’t leave before the rescue personnel leave.

 

8. Save the injuries and give the on-site first aid and transfer to hospital in time. First Aid should be done if Hypoxia asphyxia:

(1)Leave the scene rapidly, transfer the injured to one safe place with fresh air. 

2 The administration of oxygen or CPR requires according to the injured,  if necessary, send them to the doctors.

3Once you have uncomfortable breathing with respirator, leave the scene rapidly, out for a breath of fresh air. At the same time, check the respirator and change one qualified one  it if any problem of it
